Ever been interested in volunteering your time to help others but didn’t know quite how? HandsOn Volunteers is your answer. We offer a variety of service projects across Los Angeles, making it easier than ever to explore what’s out there – and start making a difference!
If you're interested in volunteering, follow the steps below to get started:
Step 1: Register as a volunteer. It only takes a few minutes and you’ll have your very own volunteer account. (If you are already registered, please Log In above.)

Search For Volunteer Opportunities
Visit our Search Opportunities section to discover available volunteer projects that fit your interests and availability. You can search for volunteer opportunities by impact area, type of service, and age-appropriateness, as well as by time and day of the week. Some projects have a specific date and time and allow you to Sign Up directly while others do not specify a date or time, but allow you to Express Interest in the project. (Note: If you’re Expressing Interest in a volunteer opportunity, please allow up to 48 hours to hear back from the opportunity coordinator.)
Volunteer Opportunities Calendar
HandsOn Volunteers promotes date-and-time-specific volunteer opportunities through our Volunteer Opportunities Calendar. Volunteers can sign up directly, or express interest in these volunteer projects with the click of a button! HandsOn Volunteers is constantly working to discover and post new volunteer opportunities. At any given time, you’re sure to find several interesting projects available.
Volunteer Leadership
HandsOn Volunteers is looking for fun, energetic, detail-oriented people interested in serving as Volunteer Leaders. A Volunteer Leader is trained in the workings of a specific project, and is then qualified to guide other volunteers through the project.
